BEAM is a not-for-profit society run solely by the work and dedication of medical students passionate about improving the quality of bioethical medical training. Our target audience is composed of students from all six years of the degree. We also have students attend from other Sydney medical school, as well as interstate visitors. BEAM aims to develop future medical practitioners in morals, ethics and philosophy- vital training for all medical students. We provide stimulating presentations and workshops, unfurling bioethics for our students, making it engaging, applicable and interesting. The society respects human dignity and upholds the value of life to the extent that we recognise and advocate for the need for health professionals to consider ethics in society and enact ethical practice in their daily medical practice.
