
What are the aims of the program?
This Phase 3 to Phase 2 mentoring system is designed to help develop smoother transition from campus-based learning to a hospital-based environment.
What will it involve?
It involves Phase 3 students (5th and 6th year) mentoring Phase 2 Coursework students with a focus on familiarization with the hospital environment, history taking, examination and presentation skills. Mentors may also assist students in understanding expectations of the different courses, and provide tips for study and assessments.
While mentoring sessions may be more frequent in the initial teaching period (weekly or fortnightly), the frequency of subsequent sessions and topics discussed will be determined by individuals mentors and their mentees
When can I apply?
You may register your interest to be a part of the program as a mentor or mentee anytime throughout the year.
Who can apply to be a mentor or mentee?
Mentors: Students currently in Phase 3 (5th and 6th years) are eligible to be mentors for coursework (3rd or 4th year) students.
