Welcome to Charities 2011!
We know that in your UNSW med interview, you would have had to say something along the lines of “I want to help people.” Well our question is, are you going to put that into action? With our portfolio, we are passionate about lending a hand to in our local community and abroad who need our help. We want to support these people both financially as well as with our time, skills and knowledge.
In particular, as medical students, we are keen to aid countries that lack proper healthcare services by fundraising for medical supplies to be sent overseas. You can support Medical Students Aid Project (MSAP) through participating in Amazing Raise. A new initiative this year is a mentoring program with the South Sydney Youth Services (SSYS) which provide tutoring and mentoring with disadvantaged youth of Sydney.
Keep your eyes peeled for some of these events and make sure you pounce on the opportunities to participate so that you can really make a difference.
Get ready for a magical adventure around the land of Sydney, as we embark on a journey to deciphering clues and conquering intense challenges. Teams of 3-5 will raise their own sponsorship money (minimum $100 per team), with all proceeds going towards MSAP (Medical Students Aid Project) to help deliver medical equipment overseas to those in need
